Global Change 2009

The end of the financial
and economic crisis

“The Emperor has no clothes”

We are saying no more than what most people are too scared to admit.
We need to take stock and wake up. Otherwise, it will once again be too late.

We find ourselves today witnessing the breakdown of social capitalism.
A form of society that has combined in an increasingly terrifying way the weaknesses of both capitalism and socialism.

If we do not wake up to this reality in time, we are heading for (civil) war. But if we do sit up and take notice, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to move forward into a peaceful and golden age of a monopoly-free market economy.

Global Change 2009 e.V.
an association/film/website for self-perception - Who are we?

We are freethinkers - We are the people who ask the question “Why?”
Only the question WHY can solve the problems of our society –
the question “Who is to blame?” only creates new problems in trying to deal with social issues.

Our aims:

Peace, freedom and prosperity combined with the preservation of our environment.
We want to give people food for thought beyond the question “Why?” as to how we can find a successful path to a golden age.

Our principles:

Every problem of this magnitude has a factual foundation – one that needs only to be looked for and defined. Once that is done, problems of any magnitude can be solved.

As humanists, we therefore reject completely the search for someone to blame for problems and catastrophic mistakes. It is in man’s nature to want to find someone to blame, to turn problems into a “Who?” question, but this is completely wrong and should be recognised as such.

People, with all their strengths and weaknesses, are a product of nature. Social systems must therefore be structured in such a way that the strengths of people are promoted and, as far as possible, their weaknesses never prevail. If people behave badly, then the flaws within the structure of society need to be identified and subsequently solved in a constructive way.

But as human beings, we need also to believe in our own positive energy and in our capacity for finding solutions to problems. Then we shall be able to enter into a golden age in which the problems have been solved. Such bold expressions as “If you can dream it – you can make it” or its shorthand form “Yes we can” perfectly express the enormous capacity of men and women who have faith in their problem-solving ability.

Unfortunately, the type of people who are highly analytical, and thus focused on solving problems and getting the job done (i.e. the ones who ask “Why?”) and the type who are highly positive as well as empathic and person oriented (who tend to ask “Who?”) are for the most part unable to communicate effectively with one another.

The key to a golden age for mankind is therefore to be found in the resolution of this dilemma and in the conscious pooling of strongly positive and strongly analytical thought processes.

Who are our natural supporters and allies?

Our propositions offer a starting point in the search for solutions which will find resonance with political and social movements who are in favour of:

  • peace and freedom in the world,
  • social justice,
  • moral direction and values,
  • liberalism and a free market economy,
  • ecology and the conservation of our environment and
  • freedom of opinion and religion.

It is only those who are in thrall to the power of money and the absolute quest for maximising revenue (e.g. adherents of neo-liberalism) and all the incorrigible blame merchants who will inevitably be incapable of identifying with the ideas we propose.
